Compare the Chia Pet Smorkin' Labbit and the Keep Watch 8" Chia Dunny by Mishka. Decide based on limited edition status, design, and display style.
Quick Answer
Choose the Smorkin' Labbit if you want a conversation-starting limited edition with a playful edge; choose the Chia Dunny if you prefer a streetwear-inspired design that grows a full green mane.
Limited Edition Appeal
Each of these Chia Pets brings its own collectible angle. The Smorkin' Labbit is a limited edition of only 1,000 pieces, which makes it a rarer find for serious collectors. The Chia Dunny by Mishka, while not numbered in the catalog, carries the weight of Mishka's Brooklyn streetwear legacy and the iconic Keep Watch character.
Design and Display Differences
The Smorkin' Labbit features a smoking rabbit with a signature ciggy and a cheeky detail that is sure to get guests talking. It's a bold, humorous piece that stands out on any shelf. The Chia Dunny, on the other hand, grows a sweet mane of green from its head, creating a living, botanical display that changes over time. Its 8-inch size makes it a substantial centerpiece.
Trade-Offs to Consider
- Rarity vs. Availability: The Smorkin' Labbit is limited to 1,000 pieces, making it a rarer find. The Chia Dunny is not numbered, so it may be easier to acquire.
- Humorous vs. Streetwear Aesthetic: The Labbit's cheeky design is a conversation starter. The Dunny's Mishka branding appeals to streetwear fans.
- Static vs. Living Display: The Labbit is a static figurine. The Dunny grows a green mane, adding a living, changing element to your display. If you want a display that evolves, the Dunny is the better pick.
